A lot of people don't know this, but Subaru released a limited edition version of their 2005 WRX Impereza STI. It was called the S203 and only 555 of them were made. Production began in January of 2005, was expected to finish in March, and were sold out by February. What makes the S203 so special? Apart from the fact that only 555 were made, and it was exclusive to Japan, the S203 boasts 40 more whp than it's predecessor, a "new, exclusive turbocharger, Sport ECU, balanced pistons, connecting rods and crankshaft, and each engine is hand-assembled." Also, the machine lost some weight when chassis parts were switched out for lighter carbon fibre parts, and 18-inch forged-aluminum BBS wheels that are 6-kg lighter than the 17-inch wheels found on the base model STi.
The aim for the S203 was for better handling, so it's a pleasure to drive, while still powerful.
Why I chose this vehicle? Because I found one, right here in Jamaica... 1 out of 555... In the whole world... Pictures after the jump.
